What Al Reem is
Al Reem is a sit-down halal restaurant in central Porto serving Mediterranean food. It is on Rua de Sá da Bandeira, the street that runs between São Bento station and Bolhão Market. The food is halal, there is no alcohol on the menu, and no pork appears anywhere on it.
The menu is built the way this food is meant to be eaten: cold mezze and warm mezze to share first, then a main dish, then something sweet. You can also eat one plate and leave — a pita is €11.50 to €13.50, a bowl of lentil soup is €7.20.
